Channels and roles
Command channel, squad slots, starter roles and priority roles.
Command channel
The channel your shot caller sits in. Keep it small: only people who should be relayed belong there. Voice from anyone without a caller role is ignored even if they are in the channel.
Squad slots
Each slot maps a squad bot to one party channel. Your plan sets how many slots you can enable; extra slots stay saved but locked. Avoid channels used by music bots.
Starter roles
Members with a starter role may run /start and /stop. Administrators always can. With no starter role configured, anyone with Manage Server can.
Priority roles
When two callers talk at once, Warcaller relays exactly one of them. A member with a primary role beats a secondary role, who beats everyone else. A caller keeps the floor for a short hold time after pausing, so breaths do not hand the floor away.
Voice region
Discord picks a voice region per channel on its own, and it can pick different regions for the command channel and the party channels when your members are spread out. Every extra region crossing adds delay. Open each channel's settings, set Region Override to the same region for the command channel and all party channels, and choose the one closest to most of your members. The relay itself adds about 20 ms.
